Riverside Equestrian Center
Premier Training Facility in the San Francisco Bay Area
Riverside Equestrian Center, located on 70 acres in Southern Sonoma
County, is the largest equestrian training center in Northern California and
the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Currently approximately 200 horses board at
REC. There are seven full size arenas (2 covered: 100'by 200' and 125' by 230'). Additional
facilities include a round-pen, miles of trials, two lunging areas and a galloping track.
Marian's personal arena in 250' by 150' and consists of fabulous all weather Footing. In addition, Riverside provides horse shows and clinics.
Equitation, Hunters, Jumpers, and basic English riding are all taught
at Riverside by Marian and her assistant trainers. The training at Riverside ranges from
beginning lessons to the training Junior and Adult Amateur Champions. To provide
boarders with opportunity to progress hosts currently Riverside has three Hunter/Jumper rated shows each year with year end
awards, and monthly clinics in many disciplines.
Show Ground Development
REC has an additional 25 - 50 acres which are being developed into a Horse
Show Facility. Riverside has a permit from the County to put on 12 "A" rated shows
each year and unlimited other shows.
Marian's Barns
While training with Marian's your horse has the option of several types of
premium stalls. Marian's main barn has 32 stalls each with a locker and
paddock. Your horse can also live our "River paddocks" which are
completely covered 12' by 24' paddocks. Please call our office
for all the boarding options. Marian's barn also offers her students
multiple tack rooms, a lounge, crossties, and wash racks with heated water.
Her barn truly has all the amenities with a washer and dry as well as a picnic
area amongst a gorgeous lawn and planted trees and flowers. Her barn provides the feel, comfort, and warmth a private
barn; yet also reaps the benefits of the larger Riverside facilities. Benefits
include the conveniences of horse shows, clinicians, trails, multiple arenas,
just to name a few.
Location
Riverside is located just over the Marin County line with easy access from
the Golden Gate Bridge as well Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties and the East
Bay. Riverside is located 30 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge, just
off HWY 37.
Shows & Clinics
Riverside annually hosts a Hunter/Jumper show series, which consists of three
shows with numerous divisions and overall high point awards. There are numerous
clinics through out the year with well known trainers.
